1275 K Lobby

Faced with a segmented space cluttered with outdated patterns and finishes, sshape is in the process of transforming the entryway and lobby of 1275 K Street, a premium commercial property in the heart of the District. The development of the design started by eliminating existing partitions and alcoves to open and streamline the floorplan. Then, sshape designers mounted white glass wall panels to brighten the space and used contrasting wood panels to distinguish key destination areas, including a reception desk that floats on glass to enhance the design’s light, open feel. Together with a high, wood-paneled ceiling, sshape’s floorplan and finish selections will gently guide visitors from the custom entryway canopy towards the rear elevator vestibule. There, a feature wall will greet tenants and guests with a seasonally variable LED light display before they proceed upstairs to their appointments.
